Luke had everything planned out. He wanted to hire a photographer, tell Melissa it was just a regular portrait session to commemorate their time in Natchitoches, then BAM! he'd drop to one knee and ask Melissa one of the most important questions in one's life. Luckily for me, Luke contacted me while he was prepping for this gigantic step and included me in his oh-so-sweet plot.
Beau Jardin is one of the most picturesque places in Natchitoches, and as some of you may know, where I was proposed to by my wonderful Sam. I was overjoyed to be able to capture something so beautiful and meaningful at a place that's burned into my heart. Full circle, y'all. Full. Circle.
The day I met up with these gorgeous folks was overcast, and we missed the rain by mere moments. If you know what petrichor is, you know the kind of pleasant rained-just-enough weather we were dealing with that day. Armed with a gorgeous engagement ring in his pocket and past conversations with Melissa about what their life would be like when they made it official, Luke was confident that Melissa would be swept off her feet.
Congratulations and best wishes, Melissa and Luke. May your marriage be blissful and forever!
