Now that we've officially kicked off 2015 in style, let's take a look back at some of my favorite images from 2014. From weddings, to bumps, babies, kids, teens, seniors, & families, this past year has been an absolute blast. I've made so many friends and learned so much!
My First Wedding Ever!
Bekkah and Jake had a gorgeous wedding at the Prud'homme-Roquier house in Natchitoches, Louisiana on April 12, 2014. I had the honor of photographing it! We celebrated their love with their family and friends surrounding them!
Miss Brooklyn's Tea Party
Brooklyn and Rocky are absolutely the cutest best friends ever. I mean, look at this!
My friend Adriana GRADUATED!!!
I've known Adriana since pre-K. We've been roommates twice during her college career. Her family is the absolute sweetest. I was so glad to get to capture both her graduation day and her special creative portraits. Adriana graduated Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana with a bachelor's degree in biology. To celebrate her becoming an official grown-up with an official grown-up job, let's hear it for Adriana!
My First Maternity Session! (and my first maternity dress!)
Shaneque and Quintell are buddies of mine from high school. There was no doubt in my mind that these two would eventually be married. Theirs is a truly sweet tale, and this was my chance to capture the beginning of their next chapter :D My grandmother and I spent 4 and a half hours creating the first maternity dress you see. I'm still very proud of it! We went out to Grand Bayou Resort in Coushatta, Louisiana early in the morning and these images are probably among the top of my top favorites list!
MY FIRST NEWBORN CUDDLES!!!
Baby Vivi was so NOT cooperative, but we got some smashing images out of her! Isn't she just a doll?
My Last FIrst (of 2014)
I went on a World Wide Photo Walk in Natchitoches, Louisiana. You know, the family Scott Kelby photo walk? Yeah. That one. I went with the Cane River Photographic Society (a cooler bunch of dedicated and passionate photographers I have yet to meet!)
It has been an absolute blessing to be able to capture each and every one of these images. My friends, treasure the people you have, not the things you have. Try to keep to one of your New Year's resolutions. Try something new. Go back to an old favorite, like Lucky Charms. I love Lucky Charms! Don't forget to hug your family each time you go home to visit. Most of all, be you. All of you. The whole you you can be.
